Venturing Crew 2020 engages in a number of activities,
around the neighborhood and our community, the State of Want to see more what a typical
Crew does? View the video Hangin'
Out: Venturing Youth Recruiting.
It’s a short, 3-minute QuickTime Video. Some of the activities are very social in nature such as
parties, dinner and a movie, rock climbing gyms, games and other social
events. There are activities that
help the community such as our Adopt-a-County-Mile work and work with Cub
Scout Packs. Yet other activities
are challenging to individuals and the Crew, such as COPE courses and
extended trekking activities. We are all
young adults that like to do a lot of different things – from formal dinner
parties to
14 days backpacking in a wilderness; a dinner and a movie to helping to package
relief supplies or paddling and trekking in So, when you join our Crew, what do you
want to do? We hope that the snippets of information, photographs and
movies will give you an idea of the fun the Crew enjoys in places near and
far. |

Many of the activities require pre-training in other
disciplines (such as first aid or water safety, climbing, mountaineering,
sailing, horsemanship, cooking, camping or shooting sports). Young adults and adults alike partake
in the training, both from a knowledge and skills activity to a team-building
opportunity. And some young
adults progress further in their own training and education to better benefit
themselves and the Crew. |
